Lesneven is a commune in Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France in the middle of the Leon plateau. It is a good location for renting a Brittany apartments or holiday villa for your vacation in northern Brittany.
The origins of Lesneven date back to the immigration from south west England in the fifth and sixth centuries. The name derives from "court of Even" (or Llys-Ifan in Welsh). Historically it was a castle town controlling Léon during the Middle Ages. Al;though the castle has now gone, there are still many buildings from the 15th to 18th centuries in the centre. The Museum of Léon is also here.
