Porto Vecchio Apartments & Villas (Corsica)

Porto-Vecchio is located in the south east of the island of Corsica and today is a lovely holiday destination with a spledid panorama. However, in former times, this was a marshy area and not one that people desired to live in ! In 1944 the American forces drained the marshes and the town expanded. Now you can rent a Ponte-Vecchio Apartment or Porto Vecchio Villa for your holidays in Corscia.

The town has a small square for al fresco dining and during the summer evenings especially, the streets of the old town come to life with music and entertainment as many Italians have their holidays here. The area around Porto Vecchio is largely renowned for its beaches and coastline to the south of the town that are the big attraction. Nevertheless, the town itself is also worth investigation with an attractive marina area including the cafes and restaurants overlooking the harbour, and the old town next to the Place de la Republique has some lovely ancient buildings pressing in on narrow streets.
