Authentic France offer a lovely range of Corsica Villas and Corsica Apartments on this dream island for your in Corsica. The island is divided into three major ecological zones by altitude above sea level The first is the coastal zone which s below 600 metres and has a Mediterranean climate including hot and dry summers but mild and rainy winters. Here you will find Mediterranean vegetation, forests, woodlands and shrubs. Secondly there are the areas between 600 and 1,800 metres known as the Montane zone which is temperate in climate. These mountain areas are cooler and there is more rain resulting in forests of oak, pine and broadleaf trees. Finally the areas over 1,800 metres where there is little vegetation and it is uninhabited. In winter these high areas can get snow. Corsica is increasing in popularity as a destination for the discerning holiday maker who likes a combination of both rustic and refined, sandy beaches and rocky outcrops, great food and either relaxation or an active watersports holiday. There is a lot of authenticity about the Corsican towns which are very attractive and yet historic.
