Monaco is one of the last three remaining autocratic states in Europe alongside Lichtenstein and the Vatican; salubrious company indeed ! The Grimaldi family has ruled this tiny area since 1297. Much later under Prince Rainier III, between 1949 and 2005, this little principality was transformed into a gambling resort and a billion dollar tax haven. The result is you really need to have a fortune to properly enjoy this resort unless you are just visiting for the day to look around.
We recommend staying in an apartment or villa nearby rather than actually in Monaco or Monte Carlo. One of the most interesting buildings to see is the famous twin turrets of the Casino de Monte Carlo and the adjoining Opera House. The other area to see is the Port Hercule which is home to the most amazing collection of luxury yachts. Stay in the nearby area and rent one of our Monte Carlo Apartments or Monte Carlo Villas for your holiday in this part of the south of France.
Sorry, we do not yet have any properties for this area, but please check again soon.
Thank you.
